The whole process of Using WiFi Feature Of AZDOME M550 Dash Cam on iPhone:
STEP: 1
Search for "AZDOME" in App Store to find the latest version of the App and then download and install it.
The iOS latest version : 2.2.7
STEP: 2
Turn on WiFi of the camera: Press&hold "DOWN BUTTON" for 2-seconds to turn on the Wi-Fi Mode.
STEP: 3
Turn on WiFi of your phone and connect: Go to Phone's Settings > WiFi > Select Camera'WiFi,
WiFi Name SSID: M550_************, PASSWORD: 12345678
STEP: 4
Open the AZDOME App to Click << Check Real-time Video>> → you will see the live video of dash cam on the AZDOME App when connect successfully.
Then keep exploring the APP from here on.
Please NOTE:
1. The cellular data will cause the live video not to be viewed. If the APP won't show the live video, please disable the "AZDOME" cellular data of your cellphone. Sure that the Local Network of the "AZDOME" is turned on.
· For Latest iOS System: Setting→AZDOME→Click "Wireless Data"→Select "WLAN" .
· For Older iOS System: Setting→AZDOME→Disable the "Cellular Data" .
2. You can't operate the dash cam when connecting WiFi.
3. Please keep you dash cam to your phone within 10FT.

STEP: 1
Search for "AZDOME" in Google Play Store to find the latest version of the App and then download and install it.
The Andriod latest version : 2.1.1000118
When installing the AZDOME APP, it will have two pop-up prompts, select "While using the APP" to allow AZDOME to access this device's loction, and select "Allow" to allow AZDOME to access photos and media on your device.
STEP: 2
Turn on WiFi of the camera: Press&hold "DOWN BUTTON" for 2-seconds to turn on the WiFi Mode.
STEP: 3
Turn on WiFi of your phone and connect: Go to Phone's Settings > WiFi > Select Camera'WiFi,
WiFi Name SSID: M550_************, PASSWORD: 12345678
STEP: 4
Open the AZDOME APP , it will say "No Internet". (Photo as below)
Please tap on the pop up notification that will show up in few seconds to select that you still want to stay connected even though there is NO Internet. Select "Yes".
When watching Live View via Wi-Fi Direct, your smartphone internet doesn't work because your smartphone can't access internet as long as it is connected to dashcam's Wi-Fi, it is normal.
STEP: 5
Click << Check Real-time Video>> you will see the live video of dash cam on the AZDOME App when connect successfully.
Then keep exploring the APP from here on.

What is Wifi feature？
The AZDOME M550 dash camera has a built-in WiFi feature that allows you to connect or pair with your iPhone or Android phone to stream, play, download, and share your videos with your friends and relatives using the AZDOME App that you can download from AppStore or Google PlayStore.
Please note that you have to be within 10 FT from the camera with no obstruction in the middle when pairing the camera to your phone. As soon as you go out of the 10FT range, you will NOT see any live feed, and the connection will get disconnected.
The Wi-Fi feature was designed to be used in case of an emergency or if you get into an accident. So while you are on the road, you can instantly turn ON the Wi-Fi and access your videos from your dash camera, leveraging your smartphones such as iPhone or Android. This way, you can show the videos to the police officers what happened right on the spot of an event.
You can also use this feature to download your small video files to your phone while you are on vacation or a scenic drive.

Do you have to go on your cellphone to connect wifi every time you start your car?
AZDOME M550's built-in Wifi feature can easily work for iOS and Android devices and this feature simply allows you to view or download your videos on your smartphone with the AZDOME APP.
By default, WiFi will always be OFF when the camera restarts. Therefore, you only should turn ON WiFi when you need to download or view your videos via the AZDOME APP on your smartphone when you need it and leave it OFF when you don't need to view your recording.
You really don't want to get distracted by the AZDOME APP by trying to connect especially while you are driving. Dashcam is a great investment to have when you need the proof of an accident, however, you don't want the same dashcam to be the cause of the accident due to distracted driving.
So when you are driving, you would want the camera to continuously record the video, and if you ever need to retrieve the video from the camera in an event, you can simply turn ON the WiFi by LONG-PRESS the DOWN-Button For 2 Seconds > then join the AZDOME M550 WiFI > then simply OPEN the AZDOME APP and you are connected.

How to check the videos?
You can check the videos from M550 by three different ways.
(1) FROM CAMERA DIRECTLY. Go to Playback Mode and scroll each video. This method is lengthy.
(2) You can also do so by connecting dash camera via wifi and from your AZDOME app.
Steps to download videos to your iPhone:
Device Albums → Video → Select → Tick to select → Click the download icon in the lower left corner → Wait for a while,then there will be this video in the local album of your phone, you can share it at will. However, it will take a bit to download one file.
(3) You can plug in your micro SD card into the PC. This method is faster. To do so, you need to access the memory card using your computer. Insert the memory card to your computer directly if you have the memory card slot and SD-adapter so you can access the memory card and copy the videos to your computer.
